A baby shower was held for Brent & Alison Mims at the Inn on March 26, 2011.  Brent, our fire chief, and Alison are Arrowhead’s youngest full time residents.  They were married at the Inn at Arrowhead on September 7, 2008.  Their “little firefighter” is due May 18. 

The shower was planned by Sally Burrichter, with the help of Malynn Dale, Linda Bumgarner, and many donations.  A tiered “diaper cake” was the centerpiece of the gift table.  Refreshments included two delicious pumpkin sheet cakes that Sally had made.

Arrowhead couples were invited and it was the first time many of the men had ever attended a baby shower.  Brent’s mom, Marty Mims, was a special guest.  Also attending were Alison’s friends from her work with the National Park Service. 

Alison and Brent were very appreciative of the wonderful party, abundance of gifts, and the generosity and support of the community.

Many "grandparents in waiting" are looking forward to the arrival of this baby.  Brent and Alison will never lack for baby sitters.
